Well, it's all about the adhesive. Some lash extension glues now require curing with a UV lamp, promising better adhesion and longer-lasting results.
With Kayy's beam light LED lamp, lashes are cured with a special glue. The lash is placed with an artificial lash to a natural lash per usual - the light is operated with a foot pedal and after max 2 seconds, the lash glue is completely cured.

-
Kayy does ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours of wear. After that 48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is not recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.
-
The suggested time frame is 24-48 hours. For a guest with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application.
-
Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.

Classic lashes are applied individually on a 1:1 ratio (1 natural lash to 1 lash extension, hybrid typically uses 50% classic lashes and 50% volume lashes (variable ratio), and volume/ mega volume ranges from 1 natural lash to 2 lash extension to 1 natural lash to 10 lash extensions generally. Another difference to take into consideration is the cost of application. You can refer to Kay’s Makeup “Lash Gallery” web page to see visual difference between the 3 sets.
Classic sets are more for length and curl. This set will not give thickness or volume!
Hybrid can be customized to if you want a little extra volume or more volum but not to much. You can pick from a soft hybrid 70% classic lash extensions/ 30% volume fan lash extension, or 50%-50%, or 70% volume fan lashes/ 30% classic lash extensions.
Volume/Mega volume is 2-10 lash extensions applied to 1 natural lash!
-
Sets are classic, hybrid, volume, mega volume. This is a choice of length, curl, and fullness.
Styles are the style of the set you choose. This is more for how yot would like to look. Which range from wispy, spikes, cat eye, doll eye, ect. Styles have nothing to do with fullness. Styles can be combined.
example booking: (set) hybrid + (style) wispy +cateye
Wet/Fluffy - Type of affect to your law extensions you want your set/style to look like. If you want your lashes to look wet ( like if you were to ge your lashes wet in the shower or a pool “but with length and a curl” you would book under wet. If yo want the affect of how your lashes look when they are “dry” you would book under “fluffy.”
example booking: (set) hybrid | (style) wispy +cateye | (wet/fluffy) fluffy
Side note: you can add lash charms, and glitter lashes to ANY set, style, and affect.
-
Kayy does offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10-20 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes. Natural lashes will then be cleaned with Kayy’s lash shampoo and distilled water.

Fill appointments have to be made no later than 3 weeks past initial full set appointment.
If at any time you have less than 50% extensions per eye, the purchase of a full set will be required.
If it has been more than one month since your last appointment, the purchase of a full set will be required regardless of how many lash extensions you have remaining—lash extensions need professional grooming by a qualified technician at least once per month in order to be maintained in proper condition so that extensions can be applied successfully.
Your natural lashes shed on a regular basis. To maintain the look of your full set, touch ups are recommended every two -three weeks. Kayy can only work with whatever time has been booked. If it has been more than two weeks since your last visit, Kayy recommends that you book the next level up to allow your technician enough time to remove grown out extensions and replace them with the new ones.
